Bungay Water Tower

This model is based on a long demolished LNER water tower found at Bungay Station in the Waveney Valley, Suffolk.

The model features a highly detailed tank and brickwork, based on available photographs and the original tank which still exists.

Bungay Station was closed to passengers in 1953, but was still used for goods and occasional enthusiast services into the 1960’s. The brick base of the water tower was demolished in the 1960’s, but the tank was saved and can now be visited at Weybourne Station on the North Norfolk Railway.

Model footprint approximately: 120mm long x 65mm wide, 142mm tall.
